Unemployment Rate, National Quarterly Series, Q1 2018 to Q4 2022. ⚠ NOT A CONTINUOUS SERIES. NBS changed its unemployment definition from Q4 2022: values before that use the OLD methodology, 2022Q4 uses the NEW one, and the two are not comparable — unemployment reads 46.5% (2018Q1), 28.1% (2020Q4), then 5.4% (2022Q4). Do not draw one line through the break; filter on revision_status ('old_methodology' = pre-Q4-2022 definition, NULL = current). The marker is sourced from the chapter introduction (pdf page 128), not inferred from the jump. Source: NBS Annual Abstract of Statistics 2023, Table 88. ⚠ Cross-reference: series nbs-lf-unemployment-rate-nga carries the same measure for 2022Q4 from Table 93 and prints 5.3%, against 5.4% here. Both are faithfully transcribed; NBS's two tables disagree by 0.1pp. That series also breaks 2022Q4 down across 16 demographic segments.
