Line chart

Chart loads as you reach it

Showing the quarterly series. Use the buttons to switch frequency; the CSV and JSON downloads carry every frequency.

Why this chart?

One measure over time — a line shows the trend, and the latest value sits in the summary.

Chosen: Line chart · auto-selected from the data profile.

Figures are in nominal naira — the amounts as reported for each period, not adjusted for inflation. Over a multi-year span, part of any increase reflects rising prices rather than real growth.

Both downloads carry every observation — geography, period, value, unit and source — and reconstruct the whole series.

Explore the data

Focus on the measure or breakdown you want, read it as a trend, the full matrix, or a tidy row-per-observation table, and download exactly the slice on screen. The chart above and this table share one selection — change a control in either and both move together.

  • Table 332+333

Summary of Foreign Trade, Quarterly, 2018-2021 · page 423 · National Bureau of Statistics

MERGED DATASET (pagination convention): Table 332 (pdf page 423) carries 2018-2019 and Table 333 (pdf page 424) carries 2020-2021 over an identical 12-indicator x 4-quarter row set. Per-observation provenance in dimensions._source_table / ._source_page; raw_rows staged verbatim per printed row, unmerged. LABEL NORMALISED on founder instruction: T332 prints "Non Oils Exports" and T333 prints "Non-Oils Exports" - the same measure, NBS hyphenation drift. Left as printed it would split into two fragmentary series (2018-2019 and 2020-2021), the exact fragmentation the merge convention exists to prevent. Normalised to "Non-Oils Exports"; the printed form is retained on every affected observation as dimensions._source_label. Mixed units: values NGN million, shares PCT at series level. MIXED UNITS: dataset.unit_id is deliberately NULL because this table publishes both NGN-million values and percentage shares. The authoritative unit is on each series (NGN_M id 3 or PCT id 15). Set 2026-07-28 after QA noted a single dataset unit was false for 257 of 564 observations in this batch.

  • Table 335

Summary of Foreign Trade, Annual, 2018-2022 · page 426 · National Bureau of Statistics (NBS)

SPINE TABLE for annual total imports and total exports under the spine rule (founder decision 2026-07-28): where several chapter-16 tables publish the same measure, the most authoritative/precise one owns the series and the others contribute only periods it lacks. Total imports is printed in five tables - here, T336 Total, T344 Total, T348 Total Imports (all byte-identical) and T355 Imports (rounded to 1dp, 13,165,127.40 vs .35). This table wins on precision. Total exports is printed here and in T350 Exports, byte-identical. Mixed units: value measures are NGN million and share measures are percentages; the authoritative unit is on each series. CORRECTION 2026-07-28 (QA): of the 32 cells not carried into observations, 20 are the spine-rule suppressions recorded above and 12 are the quarterly-union deduplication. An earlier note attributed all 32 to the spine rule. Arithmetic unchanged: 596 source cells - 20 - 12 = 564 observations.

  • TABLE 1

Summary of trade in goods · The data sources for the compilations include; The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) through the Nigeria Integrated Customs Information System (NICIS), Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Various companies in the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil industry, Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA), Arlington Securitas Nigeria Limited, Robinson International Energies Ltd, Trobell International Nigeria Ltd, Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas Ltd (NLNG), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Anglia International Limited, Neroli Technologies Limited, Gojopal Nigeria Limited, Nigerian Export Processing Zone Agency (NEPZA), Oil and Gas Free Zone Agency (OGFZA), Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).

Publisher: National Bureau of Statistics. Originator/compiler: the printed Source caption names many bodies (Nigeria Customs Service through NICIS, NNPCL, NMDPRA, NLNG, CBN and others); a single source_provider_id cannot express that, so it is left unresolved with the caption verbatim rather than defaulted to NBS. This ingest is observation-grained: the extractor emitted one row per observation with a cell-level source_ref and no printed-row capture, so row_count counts staged observations, not printed rows, and no raw_rows are staged.
