The Annual Abstract 2023 does not publish Nigeria's capital account, financial account, net errors and omissions, or overall balance, so the full balance-of-payments identity cannot be checked against this publication. The footnote printed on these pages about accretion to reserves refers to a reserves line that does not appear in any of the four tables and must not be applied to this series. Both 2021 and 2022 carry revision_status = provisional. That is PRISM'S encoding, not the source's wording: the Abstract marks 2021 "provisional" and 2022 "revised" — chronologically backwards — and Table 376 marks neither year. "Revised" is not an established value in this corpus, and marking both provisional is the only reading that cannot overstate finality. ⚠ Do NOT chart against nbs-ft-* (chapter 16 Foreign Trade): that series is customs-based, CIF and positive, this one is balance-of-payments, fob and signed. They are two compilers on two bases and differ by up to 48%.
