# Prism — official Nigerian statistics

Prism is a catalogue of official Nigerian statistics, drawn from public source publications (the NBS Annual Abstract of Statistics and other government releases). Every figure is traceable to its source table and is published as a citable series with a chart, a full data table, open CSV/JSON downloads, and the originator, publisher and publication reference it came from. Prism catalogues and presents the data; it is not the statistical authority and does not restate figures as its own.

## Vintages and revisions

Prism catalogues each figure faithfully as its source published it; genuine data-quality corrections are made in a gated, reversible layer, never by silently overwriting a value. When a source revises or supersedes a release the earlier vintage is kept citable at its own URL but marked superseded and pointed at the current entity, so an existing citation never breaks and a stale number is never presented as current.
